1. Who We Are

Hardcover - Reader is published by Steas Software. Questions or privacy requests can be sent to hello@steassoftware.com.

2. Information Stored on Your Device

Hardcover - Reader stores app settings, age and content-control selections, approved-software metadata, library entries, collections, reading history and progress, bookmarks, source reports, and offline downloads on your device. Values that installed software designates as secure, such as credentials or session data, are stored using the iOS Keychain.

Hardcover - Reader does not require a Steas Software account. A library backup is created only when you request one and is shared only to the destination you choose through the iOS share interface.

3. Catalog Software and Network Activity

The App Store build accepts only software in the complete public Hardcover - Reader catalog. Arbitrary repository addresses and software absent from that catalog are rejected. Before installation, the app displays the developer, content rating, rights record, permissions, and declared network domains. Installed software can make HTTPS requests only to those cataloged domains after your explicit approval.

When installed software connects to a third-party website, that website may receive ordinary network information such as your IP address, user-agent string, requested URLs, and any credentials or cookies you choose to provide. Those third parties operate independently, and their own terms and privacy policies apply. Steas Software does not control their data practices.

Hardcover - Reader includes a visible website-session feature for cataloged software that requires sign-in or browser verification. It uses the iOS WebKit website data store. Website cookies are provided to that software only when you choose to use the session.

4. Advertising

The free version of Hardcover - Reader displays Google Mobile Ads banners outside the reader. The app requests non-personalized ads, disables Google's publisher first-party identifier, and limits requested ad content to Google's general-audience classification. You may make a one-time in-app purchase to remove advertising.

Before requesting an ad, Hardcover - Reader uses Google's User Messaging Platform to determine whether a consent message or privacy-options control is required in your region. Google and its participating advertising services may process information such as IP-derived coarse location, device and app information, device identifiers, advertising data, product interactions, diagnostics, consent choices, and ad impressions or interactions to deliver, secure, and measure ads. Their processing is governed by their own policies, including the Google Privacy Policy.

Steas Software does not sell your personal information. Where applicable, Hardcover - Reader provides advertising privacy choices through the app's Settings screen.

5. In-App Purchases

The Remove Ads purchase is processed by Apple through StoreKit. Steas Software does not receive your payment-card details. Hardcover - Reader checks Apple's verified purchase entitlement to determine whether banner ads should be removed. Apple's handling of purchase information is governed by Apple's privacy policy.

6. Reports and Support

Source reports are stored locally. If you choose to contact support, Hardcover - Reader prepares report information for your configured mail application, and you decide whether to send it. Information you send to Steas Software may be retained as reasonably necessary to respond, protect the app and its users, and meet legal obligations.

7. Children and Content Controls

Hardcover - Reader is not directed to children under 13. Safe content is the default. Access to mature catalog software requires an adult age declaration, an in-app choice, and a separate device setting. Explicit-adult software is unavailable in the App Store version.

8. Retention and Deletion

You can remove installed software, delete downloads, remove library entries, and delete locally stored app data by deleting the app. Removing software deletes its downloaded script files and software-scoped state from the device. Advertising and purchase providers retain information according to their own policies and legal obligations.

9. Your Privacy Choices

Because Hardcover - Reader does not operate a user-account service, Steas Software generally cannot access information stored only on your device. You can manage available advertising privacy choices in the app's Settings screen and can contact hello@steassoftware.com with questions or legally applicable privacy requests.

10. Security

Hardcover - Reader limits catalog-software traffic to declared HTTPS domains, uses platform storage protections, and separates secure values into the iOS Keychain. No software or network transmission can be guaranteed completely secure, but Steas Software works to reduce foreseeable risks.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as Hardcover - Reader changes or legal requirements evolve. The current version will remain available on this page with its updated effective date.
